Design Interaction 2006 - Auburn University

10th Anniversary AU/Ireland Collaborative Studio
Friday, October 20th, 8:30 AM in Dudley Hall, Parker Auditorium
Each fall the Department of Industrial Design at Auburn hosts Design Interaction, an event focused on learning from design professionals in the field. This year's Design Interaction highlights the ten year anniversary of Auburn's Ireland Studio by inviting faculty from Ireland programs with which Auburn collaborates. The following faculty will be guest speakers at this event:

Paul Fortune - National College of Art and Design, Dublin
William Lee - DesignFactor, Belfast
Anthony Hutton - University of Ulster, Magee College, Derry
David Roberts - Institute of Technology, Sligo
Mary Greene and Robert Wainwright - Burren College of Art, Ballyvaughan

In addition to presentations made by our invited guests there will be exhibitions of Ireland Travel Program related work in both the Dudley Commons and Foy Union Galleries. A special reception will be held in the Foy Union Gallery for our guest speakers and all Ireland Travel Program alumni at the end of the day’s lectures.

For more on Design Interaction or the AU/Ireland program information visit www.auburn.edu/ind or contact the main office at 334.844.2364.

Tech2Nite

Thanks to everyone who responded to our survey regarding Tech2Nite. We got some great input, and are in the process of formulating a pilot program for October. The focus of the first course will be the design and business, while future courses will focus on other topics such as visualization skills refresh. Additionally, if you volunteered to help lead a session, we'll be in touch with you soon! Check back for a finalized course description and specific dates, and let us know if you have any other ideas. Our goal is that this will become a permanent part of the programming for IDSAtlanta, so we're still open for suggestions! Visit www.tech2nite.com for information on current classes.
