This evening tour will allow you to see some of the principles you know, and many you don’t, applied in the physical world.
The Cooper Lighting Industrial Design Team would also like to share a brief presentation about who we are and what we do. The format will be very informal and questions are encouraged. We would like to conclude the evening with the opportunity for the entire group to discuss local topics of interest.

Formation Design Wins 3 IDEA Awards

Congratulations to Atlanta's own Formation Design Group who were recently honored with three 2006 Business Week International Design Excellence Awards. Formation's Industrial Design work was recognized with one Gold and two Silver IDEA awards.
Award Winning Products Include (above, L-R) Gold IDEA - Siemens Symbia Imaging System, Silver IDEA - Crown TSP 6000 Turret Stockpicker, and Silver IDEA- Safe-Vent Arterial Syringe Venting System
. In Business Week Magazine, June 29, 2006, Bruce Nussbaum wrote:
“Another big surprise was the adsence of familiar design and innovation consultancies in the winners box...Fresh names such as Atlanta-based Formation Design Group, New York-based blueMap Design, and Munich-based designaffairs did well. There were fewer winners in 2006, just 108, down from 148 last year. There were only 27 golds, vs. 2005’s 38. Clearly, it’s a tougher playing field. There were 995 entries from the U.S., and 499 from 28 other countries. The design game is increasingly global.”
