Updated: Call for WIDD Poster Designs
In recognition of World Industrial Design Day
Three great entries were received, but due to significant last-minute interest in the contest, IDSA-Atlanta has decided to extend the poster design competition!
Entries are now be due by 11:59pm on Friday July 30, 2010.
Posters will be displayed and the winner announced during the next IDSA-Atlanta event.
Submissions:
To submit your poster design, please meet the following details:
- posters should be designed to intelligently represent the discipline of Industrial Design in Atlanta and the Southeast.
- posters should be designed in a 18"x24" format
- posters can be oriented horizontally or vertically
- posters may add a 3-d component (e.g. folding, cut out, etc)
- posters should be submitted as a single PDF
- posters can be submitted by individuals or teams, professionals and students are both eligible
- poster submissions are due by 11:59pm on Friday July 30, 2010

The Prize:
The winning poster will receive an Emeco Icon chair designed by Philippe Starck, presented by Design Within Reach (DWR) Atlanta Studio. Additionally, the design will be used as the local branding for upcoming events/year at IDSA-Atlanta. Moreover, the winning poster will be printed as a postcard and sent to all members and friends of IDSA-Atlanta.

World Industrial Design Day (WIDD) is observed annually on 29 June in recognition of the profession of industrial design. First declared in 2007 on the occasion of ICSID's 50th anniversary, WIDD has been established with the aim of promoting awareness of the profession of industrial design, highlighting the contribution designers and academics have made to the discipline and facilitating collaborations that help improve economic, social, cultural and environmental quality of life throughout the world.
