“What were you working on?”Thanks to everyone who came out for last week’s
Thirsty Thursday at the
Bookhouse Pub. The crowd was generous and a good time was had by all. While we had folks from
Big Bang, Slingshot, EchoViz and a bunch of freelancers, it seemed the
Formation guys brought their entire office (almost).
In the theme of “what are you working on,” members shared some of the projects they are designing, including: Korry Richards unveiled the headphones he has been developing (and twittering so much about) and Clint Rinehart revealed his plans to take over the world (via
Etsy) with bangles produced on his homemade 3D printer (see photo below). New ideas were generated as well: a turkey based substitute for the soon-to-be-dwindled delicacy of gulf oysters, known as “toysters on the half-egg,” was conceptualized. Not wanting to be the poor soul who would be tasked with designing the mold, however, meant no further development efforts were volunteered.
Below are some photos of the revelry:

“Korry approves. Collin approves (seriously). Florian sits stunned.
We hear he still looks this way today...”
“The always reflective Logan Vickery.”
“As the light fades (along with the iPhone’s night vision), Chris Livaudais drops in.”
“Shelton and Karen - never to be trusted when together.”Coming Up!Please join us for our next
Thirsty Thurs Tuesday celebrating
World Industrial Design Day June 29, 2010.
Details will be posted here soon.
